This Privacy Policy applies to Word Leaf (WordLeaf), a word-search mobile application published by Inque Labs ("we", "our", or "us"). It explains our data practices when you use the app, including the role of advertising partners.
1. Introduction
Word Leaf is designed to be playable without creating an account. We do not require your name, email address, password, or phone number to play. Most game progress and settings remain on your device.
While core puzzles can be enjoyed offline, the app uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP), which may access data when an internet connection is available.
2. Information we collect
A. Game information stored locally
Word Leaf uses local device storage to remember your game activity, including:
- Level progress: Current and completed levels, chapter progress, and puzzle state.
- Daily activity: Daily challenge completions, streaks, and earned badges or rewards.
- Wisdom Tree: Tree-growth XP and the tree stage you have reached.
- Virtual items: Coins, hints, and in-game rewards.
- Preferences: Sound, music, haptic-feedback, and relevant privacy settings.
We do not operate a Word Leaf player-account backend for this information. The Android app is configured not to participate in standard Android app-data backups. Clearing app storage or uninstalling normally removes locally saved game progress and preferences.
B. Information handled by advertising providers
Google AdMob and its partners may automatically process information needed for ads, consent management, measurement, security, and fraud prevention. This may include:
- Advertising and other permitted device identifiers;
- Device model, operating-system version, language, and network information;
- App and ad interactions, such as app launches, ad impressions, clicks, video views, and related events;
- Performance and diagnostic information relating to the app or advertising SDK;
- IP address, which may be used to estimate a general location such as country or region.
The information used and the purposes permitted can depend on your location, device settings, consent choices, and Google's applicable policies.
C. Information we do not ask you to provide
Word Leaf does not require registration or request your contacts, camera, microphone, photo library, precise GPS location, payment-card details, or bank-account information to play its core puzzles.
3. How information is used
- To save puzzle progress, streaks, virtual rewards, tree growth, and your preferences on your device.
- To show banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob.
- To request and manage advertising consent where applicable through Google UMP.
- To help advertising providers measure delivery, limit invalid traffic, and diagnose ad-related problems.
4. Device permissions
The Android application may use the following permissions:

5. Third-party services & advertising
Word Leaf integrates Google AdMob to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements and uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage privacy choices where required. These providers may process information under their own privacy notices.
Where a privacy options form is required, you can review or update your choices using the in-app Settings privacy controls. Device-level ad settings may provide additional controls.
6. Children's privacy
Word Leaf is a general-audience puzzle game. We do not knowingly ask children to submit names, addresses, contact details, or other directly identifying account information. Third-party advertising services may apply additional requirements depending on a player's age and location.

7. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or contact a data-protection regulator. Contact us with privacy requests regarding information under our control.
You can manage local Word Leaf information by changing preferences in the app, clearing the app's device storage, or uninstalling it. You can manage advertising choices through available in-app privacy options, your device settings, and Google's advertising controls.
For users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom, applicable data protection law may provide rights such as access, erasure, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. For users in California and other US states, applicable law may provide rights concerning use and sharing of personal information for advertising.
8. Data retention & deletion
Local game data: Saved puzzle progress, streaks, tree XP, coins, hints, and preferences remain on your device unless erased, reset, or affected by operating-system backups. Uninstalling or clearing app storage generally removes the local copy of this information.
Advertising data: Google and its advertising partners apply their own retention and deletion policies for information processed by their services. We cannot directly erase information stored on their systems; consult their privacy notices and controls, or contact us for help with requests regarding information under our control.
9. Data security
We minimize information needed for gameplay and keep game progress on your device instead of a player-account server. The privacy website uses HTTPS, and Google states that information transferred by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. Device storage is also subject to your operating system and device security settings. No storage or transmission method is completely risk-free.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our app, advertising services, or legal obligations change. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date shown above. Please check this page from time to time for the latest version.
